The purpose of this policy statement was to provide guidance on the application of the airspace change process (CAP 1616) for the establishment of new, and changes to existing, No Planning Zones (NPZs) and Flight Plan Buffer Zones (FBZs).
With the issue of SARG Policy 133: Policy for the Establishment and Operation of Special Use Airspace (February 2024) and amendments made to the European Route Network Improvement Plan Part 1 (European Airspace Design Methodology Guidelines), the CAA has determined that SARG Policy 129 is no longer required.
