Where an organisation holds a Part 145, Part CAO or Part M subpart F approval issued by EASA or an EU member state that was issued prior to 1 January 2021 and has since been amended, the continued recognition as provided in the savings and transition arrangements of the Aviation Safety SI is no longer available. The organisation must now hold an appropriate UK issued approval for a UK owner or operator to continue to use the organisation. This exemption allows for the recognition of the EASA or EU member state approval to continue while the CAA is processing the application for the UK approval.
