In response to the exceptional circumstances caused by the Covid-19 outbreak and in line with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) guidance, the CAA exempts any UK shipper and agent thereof, any UK aircraft operator and any agent thereof, and any agent for a non-UK aircraft operator from the requirements of the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulation 2002 (“AN(DG)R”) regulation 13(5) that recurrent dangerous goods training shall take place not less than every two years. Additionally, the CAA exempts any aircraft operator for whom the CAA is the Competent Authority from the requirements of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 965/2012 ORO.GEN.110(j) and SPA.DG.105(a) that dangerous goods training programmes shall be established as required by the Technical Instructions in so far as recurrent training is to be completed every 24 months.
