EASA has recommended to the European Commission that it accept a derogation from the requirements of Part-FCL (Annex 1 to the Aircrew Regulation) modifying Class and Type Rating renewal requirements for licence holders who also hold equivalent ratings in pilot licences issued by third countries. This exemption is issued to permit affected pilots to take advantage of the modified requirements pending formal adoption of the derogation by the Commission
