A Study into the Response of Aircraft Fuel Tanks to Rapid Decelerations
This study of the dynamics of rapidly decelerating fuel tanks was initiated by the UK CAA with the objective of identifying the conservatism or otherwise of the existing fuel tank emergency landing requirements based upon hydrostatic pressure criteria.
