AvStats is a new system for processing and reporting Airport and Airline Data previously managed by AASTATS.
The system is now live and the first submission within AvStats will be for data relating to April 2016.
AvStats has been designed to make it easier to provide and access data.
If you need help
Please see our guidance on:
- accessing AvStats
- how to submit data
- resolving problems with data submissions
- how to access publications and outputs
Guidance documents are also available that explain how to use the system and who is required to use it.
What this means for you
There are two main changes:
- there are new standardised templates provided for submitting data
- suppliers have greater responsibility for correcting any incomplete or incorrect data
AvStats will reject incomplete or incorrect data. If this happens you will receive an email that explains why the submission was rejected.
Benefits of the new system and phase 2 development
The new system streamlines the submission process and the latest upgrade of Phase 2 development, in December 2017, implements new business rules that further check the validity of reported airports and operators. Now that we have implemented this upgrade we can focus on developing new tools to enhance reporting options for suppliers.
Confidentiality
The Civil Aviation Authority has made a public commitment to publish more industry information unless there are legal or other reasons that prevent us from doing so.
