The Air Navigation Order 2016 as amended empowers the CAA to approve IFPs design before their notification in the UK Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP).

IFPs are regulated in the UK through the oversight of Approved Procedure Design Organisations (APDOs) and the approval of IFPs design before their implementation in the UK Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP).

The specific requirements for the development and approval of IFP designs, and the delivery of safeguarding services are published in this publication.
