Initiatives in which the Civil Aviation Authority is involved
The CAA is the UK's independent specialist aviation regulator. Its activities include economic regulation, safety regulation, airspace policy, and consumer protection.
To meet its objectives and to keep pace with changes in technology and the social, economic and business environment in which aviation takes place, the CAA becomes involved in a number of initiatives.
These can range from the amendment of its own regulations, the introduction of new procedures through to major international programmes. Details of all such initiatives, together with associated consultation can be accessed from this page.
