CAA International Limited (CAAi) is a wholly owned commercial subsidiary of the UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA) and a registered Social Enterprise. As the UK CAA’s technical cooperation arm, CAAi is responsible for exporting over half a century of UK CAA know-how overseas to help raise aviation standard and support the socio-economic benefits of air transport globally.

Working with international Governments, aviation agencies, regulators, and industry organisations, CAAi provides advisory services, training, and regulatory tools on a paid-for-services basis, assisting States in establishing and maintaining a resilient, sustainable regulatory system.

As a Social Enterprise, CAAi takes action to overcome some of today’s most pressing aviation challenges. Half of CAAi’s annual profits are set aside to fund targeted and impactful initiatives and good causes in aviation, both within the UK and the developing world, supporting individuals and organisations – propelling social and environmental change where it is needed most.

Advisory Services

Drawing on the multidisciplinary expertise from across the UK CAA, CAAi delivers in-country, desk-based, and virtual advisory services, capacity building and research studies, spanning all regulatory domains and critical elements of aviation. CAAi has assisted many countries globally in adopting modern, forward-looking regulatory standards, compliant with International Standards and cognisant of emerging new aviation technologies, that unlock the endless benefits of better aviation.

Aviation Training

CAAi offers a diverse portfolio of professional training programmes covering multiple aspects of aviation regulation and compliance, including aviation safety, security, and environmental performance.

CAAi training courses are designed and delivered by practising UK CAA regulators and valued experts. CAAi courses are based on UK, ICAO and EASA standards and can be delivered face-to-face in the classroom, virtually and in-company – tailored to an organisation’s specific requirements.

CAAi courses are designed to promote best practice in aviation regulation in accordance with UK and international standards. While these courses offer valuable insights and learning opportunities, attendance for UK-based organisations/delegates seeking regulatory approved by the UK CAA is not compulsory. Other training providers are also available.

As an ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS member, CAAi delivers training in partnership with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). CAAi also co-delivers postgraduate courses in collaboration with leading, world-renowned Universities.

Regulatory e-Tools

CAAi delivers electronic regulatory tools for National Aviation Authorities, including digital examination and online licensing solutions. Our systems combine seamlessly, making the entire regulatory assessment process as paperless as acceptably possible, reducing the administrative burden without compromising the safety and integrity of high-stakes examination and licensing practices.
